First solo mission today since my crew was busy. I always wanted to try it and today was the day. Weather was decent in the morning but winds picked up. I wore my safety life jacket with Epirb and rescue streamer in my pocket just in case.
Found the fish then bam! My corner screams like an ahi is on! I start clearing my line and then it goes quiet. I swing around again and after a few passes my rigger pops and reel screams for 30 seconds then it goes quiet again. Dang rubber hooks today. Will have to try again.
