Working all week on another HSDTV show with more kids!  These young ocean explorers know how to enjoy their prolonged spring break. Tokoro ohana joined the fun.

Brent and Liam also had fun!

Marley Laanan showing her dad what she found!

Friend shared this low tech mask to use to avoid covid 19.  Everyone getting creative now days.  Weather looking bit wet for weekend with light winds coming next week.  Gotta get things done so can get out for some solo exercise!

Stock, Walk and Lock

Got a chance to stock up on some Aku for the lockdown before the weather went sour.  Some nice Otarus will go for the sashimi, poke and dry stash.  Papa Crow is all set once he finds his T.P. ha ha!

Also got to get a good outdoor activity reef walking again.  Brent and Liam learning lessons of life.

Even the Tokoro family came out to enjoy the walk.  Along with the Sato, Kanekos, and Nakamotos!

My friend posted this cartoon, thought it was funny!  I'm sure the corona death numbers needs to be updated but something to think about while you are locked up.

Reef Walk Two Cents

Had a window to do a reef walk before the heavy rains came.  Tide was low so we headed out.

Great friends and kids having fun the old fashioned way.  We got about 45 minutes in then the rains came.

Headed for cover and had a great time fellowshipping with friends and family.

Well this Covid 19 pandemic has hit the USA and it's no joke that people are afraid.  Amidst the craziness, our family is not really worried.  If a thousand sheep walk on the edge of the cliff and one jumps off, we won't follow but trust in our Shepard to lead us to safety!  Hawaii is always been behind the times unlike Asia who is on the front line.  The media hype doesn't help either. You wonder why all the fuss about shutting down all these public events yet the Olympics is still on?  Is our worlds best athletes at risk? The decision seems to be based on the IOC who is looking at the WHO and CDC.  When you see the Olympics cancelled then its time to really think about it!  Disclaimer: History and hindsight is 2020...my 2 cents

Shark talk

Saw Carl Meyer at the beach the other day.  Cool to catch up with him and hear his opinions about sharks.  He is Hawaii's top shark expert doings a lot of research about shark behavior and had a lot to share.  He said those shark magnets don't work at all.

Also great day diving with Seth, Benji and Kirby.  These two boys are the future of surfing!  They are so nice and respectful which really makes Hawaii proud.  I'm honored to be able to be experience their first blue water dives.  It's like surfing Jaws for your first time.

Seth is always looking for speed and if the surf is small this is how he does it!  Getting spit out of a 15 ft pipeline barrel.  Ha ha!

My Precious

We had a nice weekend visiting our favorite Unko Joe!  He is now 104 years old and sharp like an eagle.  Although his temple is aging and gets tired easily he still has the akule fevah.  These boys showing their respect to UJ (Uncle Joe).

Guess who's board this is?  The GOAT, Kelly Slater!  One of his magic carpets!

And saw this post on FB, it was kinda funny but true!  Winds should be backing off for the next few days with some minor surf coming through.  Possible rain for the weekend.  Make your plans accordingly.

Winter End

Winter season is winding down surf wise but snow has been falling in Japan.  Not many people out and about due to the covid19 scare.  Probably only get worse so be safe and do your homework.  It's not very often you see slopes this empty!

In the mean time we got out for a dinner run on some epic flat conditions.  Often I prefer a little rough water to fish.

Even if not much toilet paper on our shelves, at least we are thankful for fresh fish on our table, ha ha!
