Getting the Shot!

We had a good day fishing/diving other day.  Found some gold and silver, Mahis and Onos.  So many mahis this day it was crazy.  We ate lunch at 3 pm.  After we ran out of bait, I jumped in the water with my spear gun to get more mahis.  Check out HSDTV coming next mont for some action!

Mahalo Neal Miyake for the cool shot out in town.  He got kinda close taking this shot, I thought I was going to run him over.  Not much surf now so good time to travel soon!

Fish and Poi

Went to check out this Lo'i in Kailua and picked up some poi.  So Good!  So what's the best thing to eat with poi?  FISH!

James Oshiro came out with me and Cat and went down hard.  Seas were rough and he puked out everything he had.  Dry heaving!  Good thing we had Mr. Bean with us.

But in the end we got back safe with some fish in the box.

First Ahi for James this year!

Mahalos to the Red Sea crew for all their help again.  Now we can eat fish and poi.

Poke for the People

We got to do some filming up on the north shore of oahu with Chris Chang from Poke for the people.  He has a nice poke shop and all the locals know about it.  Check him out next month on Hawaii Skin Diver TV.

Check out these poke bowls.  $13/bowl is amazing!

Great to meet up with Shima Bananas at the Okinawan festival.  They were jamming!

Fish Cutting

My friend ask me how to cut fish.  Here's a tip.  when quartering the fish and taking the skin off.    Because there is a bloodline you can skin the fish by slicing down the middle and sweeping the knife out to get a nice fillet.

Then after mixing and matching you can come up with you own poke bowls.
