Pupu hour

Red Sea crew was open to fish so loaded up again and headed out. James in vertical position, not horizontal.
Because Brent had that position secured.
Al stood up all day. Good job looking for birds. They were around but fish were slow biting.
I love fishing on this side of the island. It was a nice day hanging out with the boys.
We got enough for our pupu hour. Next time it will be the main dish.

No lucky day

Decided to sleep over at the pier to secure my parking spot. Boy was it noisy, cold and Mosquitos.
50 boats in the line up at 630 am.
Water was so flat and fish was on holiday for us.
Al and James searching.
Until boredom kicked in and we had to go in empty handed. Better luck next time.

Dressing lures

Grabbed a few waves in town and getting ready for fishing tournament. Changing lines and skirts is like getting ready for a prom.  A few legs missing and hoping to choose the right color combination.
This line cost about $50 for 30 yards but it helps for the slow trolling type of fishing.

Close but no cigar

Heard the Ahis were biting so woke up 3 am to get ready to fish.
Set my lines at day break and looked for ahi. I was excited to use our new gaji lures.
Jon Kam joined me on todays adventure.
We looked hard then it happened. Bam! Fish on! Almost spooled my 130.
We fought long and hard but at the last moment it shook the hook and snapped our line as I was about to shoot it. Lotsa action and will get um next time.  Close but no cigar. Mahalos Jon for a fun day on the water.

Taiwan Day Five

We've been eating so much on this trip from morning to night. Buffet breakfast.
Beef noodles for lunch. My favorite.
Stinky tofu for dinner. Not my favorite. I did try a piece tho.
Fancy artistic dishes.
Beautiful desserts!
We walked so much my feet was sore.
But thanks to our host vicky we were pampered with a wonderful foot massage.
Boy was I in pain but it felt so good afterwards.
