Japanese Grinds!

We had some amazing meals in Japan!  We found this nice restaurant in the hotel and gave it a go!

Hokkaido Snowboarders

Our friends Seiko, Roy, Reece and Ren also joined the slopes with us on this trip.

Roy is really good!  Got a few tips and got to see him get air jumping too.  Best thing was no crowds, look how empty the slopes were!  Coming down the hills carving without worrying about crashing into someone made it so worth it!

4 days of snowboard was awesome!  We covered all the hills and intermediate runs so next time we will charge the black diamonds.

Hokkaido Day 1

Was off the grid in Hokkaido, Japan with the family so finally got to get online.  13 year old Nephew Maika was looking forward to snowboarding again.

While 14 year old Kai was ready to hit the Onsen.  This teenager can stay in there for hours.

My feet were freezing!

But when got there it was game on!  Kai called me outside for a challenge.

Rusutsu Resort is a great place for family and friends.  Ski in and Ski out type of lodge.

All the amenities of home.

Lots of nice scenery.

BIG SWELL COMING!

Another BIG SWELL coming late Sunday!  North winds and dangerous surf!  Be careful out there!  

WTF?

Can't  beat the spring surf!  Looking forward to some fun waves as the crowds are gone!  Tides have been super shallow and dangerous.   Yesterday I had a couple good wipeouts.

Today Randy, went over the falls straight onto the shallow sharp reef cutting his hand and foot.

Wade took out his alcohol spray and started to clean his wound and Randy felt like his cuts were like a fireball!

Gearing up!

Been a busy week of packing and prepping for some cold weather.  Got some advise from some experts on what are some good brands to get for goggles and cold air.  Anon and Burton seem to be good!

Also ordered a 7 mil suit for Yazbeck for some cold water diving!  Going to be ready to take the ice plunge in the onsen!  Nah we going to be doing some filming for HSDTV in some freezing waters this year!

Fish Grinds

Some grinds with some fresh fish on the table.  Got to share some fish with family and friends who don't get to eat fresh fish often.  Some unable to go due to health reason, age, etc.  so good to share the blessings we received the other day.   Looking like a windy week ahead so stay warm everyone!

Mercury High?

Headed out to restock the refrigerator.  Found some fish on the finder and they started biting..

and kept biting until we had enough for the week…Mercury level going be high this week, lol.
