Black moon fishing

Did you see the solar eclipse? I did!

Loaded up the Red Sea boat and we headed out with akule joe, Jaime and Ryan Kagami to catch akule.

The bite was on and akule joe was on point! One after the other with multiple strikes. Jaime with the master!

Even Ryan got his share of akule.

Came back in to drop off uncle at day break with over 50 pieces.

Ryan, cat and me headed back out and went looking for Pelagics.

Got some nice Otarus on our lures, Mahis and lost a Shibi.

Headed in with enough for the week. Great day and night fishing during the black moon.

Fresh sashimi! So good!

Fried akule!

Party time! Fishing seems to always bring our family and friends together. Thanks to my crew for a great time!

Owens Ahis

Owen Adams joined me and cat for a day he will never forget.  Owen never reeled in an Ahi before so we headed out to try our luck.

Owen found his happy place and was parked for an hour or two until...

Bam! Bam! Bam! Triple banger! We get um in both but one comes off somehow.

Mahalos to our land crew for their help as we were at the right place at the right time today. I wonder if Owen has Ahi feevah now?
