TLC

Some tender loving care for the twins.  Mahalos to my mechanic Jason and dad for helping out tuning and servicing our motors.  Only a boat owner knows what really goes on behind the scenes on the time, money and effort involved in keeping a boat in order.  I'm very thankful for my  family and friends who always are help out.

Final day of reef diving in Kiribati targeting jacks.  The boys favorite fish is yellow spot papio so thats what we were looking for.

We were able to land a few more fish.

Yes, there are even pelagics in Christmas Island.  Put in your time and get rewarded.

The prize!  Keaka Ching closes the deal here in Christmas Island.  Until next time….

Xmas Day 4

Kiribati night was fun! Lotsa song and dance from the local staff.  They work so hard and make so little  money but one thing is they are so happy.

Owen Adams Sr. was on point landing some nice fish today!

We clean our fish right on the beach.

And we prepared our steam Kalis for a amazing meal.

Xmas Day 3

Day 3 in Christmas Island delivers more reef fish for our group of Hawaii Skin Divers.  Long nose emperors, big ukus and groupers is always fun to shoot and nothing goes to waste.

Mixing things up is fun, so we headed into the lagoon to grab some Mantis shrimp.  These daredevils actually grabbed them by themselves.

Kitt is 60+ years old and still going strong!

We even found a few rasta tako hunters today.  Owen and Gordon in the Bob Marley pose.

Carrisa Moore Surf School

Paddled out to Ehukai Sandbar today with some fun little waves.  As I head in Carrisa Moore paddles out and I see this visitor drop in on her with camera guy peter king ready to snap the shot.

Next set, Carrisa gets in front of the same guy and takes him to school.

Bam!  Right in front of the tourist and Peter gets the shot!  Classic!

Nicks Surf Shots

Past few days been paddling out with the full moon with the boys.  It's so dark you cannot even recognize others in the lineup.  Some head high waves up north with empty lineups when you can find them.  Nick Gruen was out taking pics today and shared them with me.  Mahalo Nick for the shots!  Usually I post pau surfboard or cam shots ha ha!

Took out the 5'10 tokoro special.

Couple fun ones! Good fellowship!  Great exercise!

M.O.B.

MOB.  Marlin over board!  Ok Heeve Ho!  Heeve Ho!  Ok guys are you ready?  1, 2, 3.  After we saw my friend Chris hook up solo to this marlin we waited to make sure he was safe.  It was big enough for us to have to swim over and assist him.  Glad everything went smooth and we were able to help.
