Masked Diver

Winds finally back up but took advantage of the last calm night to go look for some bottom fish. Now there is a new ruling regarding boating so unless you have your commercial license you are limited to 2 person per boat.  Its going to be interesting landing the big ones with 2 persons and trying to maintain 6 ft apart while gaffing the fish.

We were able to fill up this huge bin of akule.  Non stop action!  All of this fish went to a worthy cause.

Even found the bonus steamer fish!

Been keeping busy editing the next HSDTV show!  Guess who will be featured next month's show?  These masked divers are super fun to film.

More surf and turf

Weather has been nice past few days and more to come.  Took the Red Sea boat out to look for dinner.

And found a few more steamers.  These are so good!  I think will have to target them more often.  Thanks to Cat and Brent for the help on board and 2 old crows for the land support.

Also surf has been firing!  stoked to ride my tokoros on all shapes and sizes.

Also got treated to a nice slab of big eye tuna from Mike.  Not often we get to eat this type of tuna so our family will be eating good tonight.  Mahalo!

Mission Accomplished!

Always a blessing to share our catch with our Kupuna.  Aunty Barbara can't wait to steam her goat fish tonight.

Even Aunty Nancy was all smiles to receive some aholehole.

And Araki's got the gold!  Kole gold!  Mahalos to all the divers who participated in this covert strike mission!  You all know who you are!  Thank you!  Mission Accomplished!

Surfers Go Dive!

Beautiful diving weather with light winds and small surf.  Even these professional surfers, Seth and Josh Moniz whats the best call, DIVE!

Josh got this man sized pachi, MAN PACHI!

Gen also got nice Mu!  Good job Gen.  He is a very hard working guy at Tokoro surfboards and Vesso surf.

Maika even got to meet the legends and grab a few tako and fish for himself.  Keep practicing Maika and you will be a good in whatever you do!  Your attitude will determine your altitude!

Sweet Sixteen

Light winds in the forecast for a week so packed up the Red Sea boat and headed out to the friendly isle.

Took a power nap and watched the amazing sunset then went out to fish.

Got a bunch of fish to fry and steam while we are in lockdown mode.  Fish that can last a long time in the freezer.

Mahalos to my crew, brent and cat for the on board help and two old crows for the land support.

Came back home in time to celebrate my nephews Kai sweet 16 birthday.

Caught than Taught

Kids out of school till April 30 so giving them a hands on experience of working.  I am a firm believer in things are learned better caught than taught.  When you do it then you will embed it in your memory bank forever.

Even nature is enjoying their time off the tourists.

Kai was applying his lessons on a hands on project for vesso surf.  Good job!
