Ahi Official Start

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  Couldn't sleep and woke up early to get the red sea boat ready.  Crew set up and lines were out at daybreak.  There were so many boats out, I guess because of the holiday.

We made contact with a nice mahi mahi then got a nice a Ahi a little later.

Mahalo to my crew for all their support and help!  Teamwork is the key!  Ahi Season has officially started!

Happy Memorial Day!

Got a cool mahalo card from our friend Mike.  Thanks Mike for your friendship and always supporting Red Sea Ocean Adventures!  Can't wait to get this view soon.

Memorial day weekend is here and time to get out on the water.

I had a team huddle to see who wants to play first string tomorrow?  Gold reels may get first cracks.

Clean out

Well after a interesting Tuesday of not eating and flushing my system out,  I made to Queens for my procedure to clean my sewer pipes. Still waiting for official results but looks normal.  Thank God!  Now I can go fishing!

Prep day!

Great to see these two homies together again!  My Aunty Jane is a great mentor for her protogie Teri.  These two ladies know how to party!

Today I gotta drink this 4 liter container of Gavilyte-C to flush my system.  Should be fun!  Not!

Kiribati Day 4

First Red Sea trip with Brandon Riley.  He was such a great guy to have around and dive with.  He was on point getting his targets.  Contractor by trade, he was able to take off work and get some much needed water time from the hectic life of construction.

He even got a big Tako.

Nice Wahoo on the boat!  Thanks Brandon for joining us!

Kiribati Day 3

Today we saw the beach cluttered with trash.  Cans, plastics, garbage everywhere.  We decided on our return to teach these kids the importance of taking care of their beautiful atoll.  So we came in a load of fish and our guide explained to them our intent.  Immediately they started filling the trash bags with the rubbish.

About 40 kids working and cleaning up while their parents watched.

Then we shared our catch and the kids were blown away.

This girl was so cute.

The next day we came back and saw the entire beach cleaned up.  Amazing!  This was more spectacular than shooting a 100 lb ulua for sure!

Kiribati Day 2

Day 2 and we headed out to the grounds and knew it was going to be another great day!

Mike Uyehara got this nice parrotfish.

Then a big ulna swam up to him and bam!  Today was his lucky day!

Returned to our base camp and sat under our olive tree to relax.

And closed the day celebrating Mike's birthday with an incredible cake!

Kiribati day 1

Been off the grid for past week visiting Kiribati.  Got lots to share with some good footage to air on HSDTV.  3 hour flight from HNL to Kiribati is really nice!

Matt from New Mexico is now their official sign holder and welcomes the guests.  We got there at 7:30 am, unpacked and headed straight out to the dive grounds.

Brandon Riley getting his first long nose emperor.   Brandon is a contractor and learned to dive from Kitt.  He was mentored by Kitt and fortunate to have the chance to follow Kitt around.

Master Kitt showing us all up with a pair of yellow lip emperor and a long nose emperor.  Kitt is in his 60's and still charges hard.  Very personable and polite Electrician who loves to dive!  Kitt is a great diver and enjoys traveling with Red Sea Ocean Adventures.
