What is a Ichthyologist?

What is a Ichthyologist? It's not a insect, fruit, or medication. Basically someone who studies fish. Meet Richard Pyle (right) one of the premier fish scientist of our era. I was so humbled to meet this guy on my last trip and he loves his job as much as me. After meeting him I realized how much more I need to learn about the various fish out there. He has gone deeper underwater than most scuba divers and has even been to the twighlight zone and back.
