Convergence

Red Sea crew was anxious to get out for one last chance to catch Ahi before the season ends.
Ocean was rough and our sea legs would be put to the test.  James Oshiro was in the fetal position all day.
I knew where the fish were biting so headed for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. We reached the grounds found the birds and set out our gaji lures then BAM!
Got one in the boat! Reset our lines again and headed back to the spot as birds started to form and converge in front of us.  Lots of other boats all made a b-line for the birds but we were there first and the rigger pops then the center. Rigger pole flys out of the holder but James was there to grab the pole and line cuts but center still on.  We clear the lines and bring the fish in.
20 minutes later we got two in the boat and start heading in as winds and waves got bigger.
What an amazing view on the Eastside.  Chinamans Hat is a special place for those who live on this side of the island.
Mahalos to Cat, James, Al and two old Crows for their help and support for making it all happen today.    I've learned the importance of putting in your time, being persistent and patient is the key to making your dreams come true.  Life is short so do what you love and love what you do!
