And congratulate Jon and Nadia on their fabulous wedding!  It was a beautiful day!

Christmas Island Day 6

Final day of diving and our plan is to just relax and dive the shallows.  We had a awesome group of divers who got along so well.

After our dive it was nap time.

Making our way home to catch some waves was perfect timing!

Gonna miss these locals.  We hope they continue to keep their land clean.

Guys made a impact on the local community!

Christmas Island Day 5

Christmas Island has so much variety of reef fish!  James got this nice Napolean and Kagami.

Matt also got some nice red rois.

Fly fishing is huge here.

Everyday we weighed the catches and logged everything.

Of course we had to eat the aku.  Thanks Gordon for cutting it up.

Christmas Island Day 4

Todays mission was to catch fish for the locals.  Loaded up on small game.

They love the menpachi.

Then came in early for our lesson on why we should take care of our land.  Picked up rubbish.

Shared our catches.

Kids stoked!

Everyone went home happy.

Christmas Island Day 3

Day 3 and we are on a mantis shrimp mission.  Boys never got one so it would be interesting.

Kabuta our guide is a master mantis shrimper.

Walking on the flats looking for the right hole and luring the shrimp out is hard to do.

But we got some!  With the help of our guides.

Another perfect day in paradise.

Christmas Island Day 2

Saw a bird pile on our way to go dive, set out our gaji lure and BAM!  Biggest Ono I've seen yet, probably over 60 pounds.

Boys scored some nice fish for the table.

Rudy King got a nice Ulua.

Jansen Fujinaga the 3 prong master.

That time of day to eat pups while repairing gear.

Christmas Island Day 1

Wow where did that week go?  Well we started off flying to Kiribati.  3 hour flight is so easy!

Our group of Red Sea divers were stoked!  40 minute transfer to the Ikari house and were all good to go!

Day one of diving with 3 boats to use.

And a variety of reef fish to warm up on.  more to come!

Happy Mother's Day

Hows this perfect weather?  Planned a half day run to look for something special so we loaded the Red Sea boat and headed out.  Not much birds but managed to find the spot and BAM!  Crew knows the routine and we get to work.

20 minutes later we had this Ahi in the boat thanks to the skillful driving of Cat and the power of Alkaline Al who lives with no sleep.  Pull in the lines and head in early!

Happy Mothers Day to the best mom ever!  We are so thankful and appreciate of all you do for our family.  All the sacrifices you make and unconditional love and support.  And not to mention the awesome grinds! 

Hanapaa!

Another great week in paradise!  Surf has been fun, weather has been great!  So headed out for some dinner shopping..
