Dive Bug?

Great to JJF back in action on Championship Tour.  He was ripping!  Well deserved and looking forward to seeing more of his action.

Maika got the dive bug?  I think so…He got the chance to dive in some challenging conditions but able to land some manini for the frying pan.  One day he will be holding a stringer of mahi mahi. 

Fresh Sashimi

Windy weekend with easing conditions on Tuesday.  As the north shore slowly drops there is a few more swells to come.  Fresh Mahi and Aku sashimi on the menu!   

Anyone interested a Indo dive trip later this fall?  Target species would be the prized Dogtooth Tuna and a variety of reef fish.  Send me a email to redsea@hawaii.rr.com

Gold and Silver

KHON2 asked me to talk a little about dive safety the other day with the passing of the diver out at Mokuleia.  Our condolences and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Finally found what we were looking for thanks to my Red Sea Crew.

And got some bonus Shibis and Akus to add to the score!

Birthday Celebration!

Wanted to wish my 15 year nephew a Happy Birtday!  Next year he is ready to take the wheel?  Kai is very kind, appreciative and intelligent.  

This sashimi sampler was only the beginning at the Nakamoto Restaurant that evening.

7 mm suit

Nice to be home eating red meat again.  

Also cheering on Seth Moniz as he makes his WCT debut! Go Seth!

Tried on my new Yazabeck 7.5 mm suit for upcoming trip to Alaska.  I was heating up and my mask was fogging up, ha ha!

Fit is good tho' and thats the main thing.

On the hunt!

We had the onos for fresh red meat so went out to the supermarket to see what we could find.  Found a few pieces for our dinner this week.

Then we found a net and had to jump and see what was below the surface!

Couple of tails passed by but it wasn't the target species we were looking for…next time!
