Last day fishing
This years fishing season was awesome! We decided to head out one last time to fish and hurricane lane left its mark on Hawaii. Rough water means rubbish, and rubbish means mahis! Simply find the rubbish, find the gold! Al and I started off early and maximized the day! We found a net and the rest was history!
Double, triples, one after the other fish was flying in the box. All we were seeing were stars and stripes. Even had a marlin check out a foul hook 9 inch gaji as we were fixing the line. Marlin whacked the center pole, then went to the corner and bit! Reel screamed, fish jumped and shook the hook. Oh well..
Mix plate day but a like World series coach Oda said, "Its gonna be a GREAT DAY!"
Mahalos to our hard working Red Sea Crew for all their love and support this 2018 fishing season. For all of you who hopped on board, helped at the dock, in the kitchen, loading, off loading, washing, cleaning up…THANK YOU! The most important lesson I've learned this year is you not going catch fish on the couch! You must put in your time to catch fish. You never know unless you go!

Hawaii Little League
Congratulations to the Hawaii Little League team! They went up against Georgia and now are heading to the final World Series.
Game score 3-0, Hawaii.
Great game! Great Kids! Great Coach! Good luck tomorrow! Tropical storm lane started pulsing the surf so headed out to grab a few this afternoon. Looks like surf will be dropping tomorrow so get on it today.

Surf's Up!
Hurricane Lane slowly approaching Oahu at 6 mph. Looks like some heavy rain and wind should be coming today.
South shores came up so got a chance to surf some hurricane waves. Just a few of us crazy guys out. Time to tie down the boat. Stay safe everyone!

Hurricane Hunters!
Hurricane Lane making its way toward the Hawaiian Islands is all over the news! Everyone take precaution and be prepared as it makes it way south of us bringing some heavy rain and wind. While everyone went to costco we went fishing!
Stocked up on some supplies for the storm. Hurricane Hunter James is back in the game. Mahalo to the Red Sea Crew for bringing home the grinds!

Undercover Fisherman
Weather was calm and there was one more friend I really wanted to see get an Ahi this year. He is the masked man who needs no introduction. He is our great friend, brother, willing to give his heart to you and always there no matter what! You find him undercover and behind the scenes doing whatever needs to be done. He is on the all black team, ninga warrior, fish whisperer...
He looks for low flyers and high flyers and calls the fish to bite! So it was only a matter of minutes before we got da bite! We set our first string Gaji lures out and our MVP came through again. Outrigger slams and fish on! 20 minutes we had it in the boat.
Then he took off his mask for a photo then put it back on.
After almost 2 years of being on the Red Sea boat, his first trip back out and bingo!
He scraped the meat good and now it will be eaten by all his friends and family! Congrats James "McGuyver" Oshiro and mahalos for always being a great friend!

Toad on the road
Got a chance to get one last ahi before the season ends. Al, Cat, and I headed out early to get the worm and it paid off as we ran over this toad on the yellow brick road again. My corner 80 shimano reel went off and got um in 20 minutes. Great teamwork!
Even managed to find a few mahis to mix up the game. Mahalos to all my crew, friends, family and sponsors who helped us put meat on the table this ahi season. We hoped you enjoyed eating the fish as much as we had catching them. Now time to start traveling!

Tackle football
Hurricane Hector brought some nice sunsets and great fishing action! Bite was on and we were lucky to get out there. We found some birds and it was non-stop action all from dawn to dusk.
Some stars and stripes to mix things up for a change.
To Cats, 8 Cows and a dozen Footballs to close out the day! Thanks to my Red Sea Crew for all their hard work at the dock, on the boat, in the kitchen, cutting cleaning and all they do!

Season Over?
Wow did you see that big fire out west? Well we got a ocean view with 3 blazes going! Al calling in the fish...
Smoke everywhere! This was possibly our last time fishing Waianae this year so we headed out early to find the worm. Everyone was at one area so we left and went to hunt. Found some birds and bingo! Came in early.
Mahalo to my crew for another good day on the water. Is the season over? I don't think so… TBC…

Surf Break
Took a few days off fishing to fix my motors and reset for next week. Little bump in town so grabbed a few waves. Got this fun app that tracks your waves, speed, distance etc. Good to warm up for Indo waves soon!

Boat Repairs
What does acronym B.O.A.T. stand for? Bust out another thousand! Always having to fix and repair things but I glad I know a good mechanic who can help me anytime. My friend Jason is smart and over the phone told me what to do. I was a little nervous pulling out all these wires.
But got to the source of the problem and changed these two parts so I can fish again. Now I gotta go fix my broken reel.
My other friend Ray is selling his 36 foot radon if anyone is interested. Its only $250,000 but worth $455,000. It's on craigslist.
