A Christmas Message

There was once a little boy who wished for a star. He couldn't fathom how far away it was but knew in his heart if he tried really hard that his dream would come true. He worked hard, saved his money, went to school, and one day...

He was able to buy lots of presents for his family and friends. He wasn't rich, nor was he poor but having a family with lots of friends who believed in him made him feel adored. He realized that the star that shined from above even if it couldn't be seen at times, still was there burning bright as before.

The young boy then grew to a wise old man and realized it's not about the money or fame or amount of toys we have, but about having a loving family, good health, and time to enjoy them. We have lots to be thankful for this Christmas! Tink about it! (Message by Pastor Crow)

Thankful Heart

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! I was thinking what was the top 3 things I was most thankful for this holiday season. Was it the epic waves? Or the big fish we caught? Various exotic places we traveled? What ended rising to the top was having my family, friends, and health. The guy who best exemplifies this is my dad, the artist, worker, & entertainer who is the jack of all trades, master of all....Crow!

He can fix anything, make anything, sell anything, and do anything you want. You may have seen his popular Gyotaku art work in galleries around town like Pictures Plus but he continues to provide our divers and fisherman the awesome memories of their catch as he brings their fish back to life through his art. We are thankful for God's hand in his life and excited to see what He has in store next year! I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving Holiday and remember to have a "Thankful Heart" as you face the holiday madness in the malls, on the streets, and in the water as you try a catch that perfect wave.

Christmas Grinds

What a day of food, family, and fun. For starters we began with the appetizers from Crow's Creations. Fresh opihi, sashimi, poke...

I tried my luck with a frozen uhu and pulled out Kimi Werners Ti-leaf steamed uhu recipe but the uhu was too big so I baked it. 45 minutes in the oven was perfect for this bad boy.

There was so many grinds enough to last through the new year!

After lunch I had to make sure my new wetsuit would still fit. Thank goodness I bought the larger size with room to expand and strech for holiday feasts like this.

We ended the day with a afternoon surf at one of my secret spots where I could burn off those calories for the next New Years party. Kona winds are here! You know what that means?

A Christmas Wish

Wow! If you are like me, you must be asking where did 2008 go?  Has it been a year already gone by?  Well it's a wonderful life we live having the health and breath to live out our dreams each day.  I would like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and may your homes be filled with happiness and peace, and of course may God's love and grace shine upon you this day, Christ was born.  Here my nephew Kai stoked on life with his new toys Santa brought him for Christmas.  Hey wait a minute...that looks like my toys:) Wanna trade for the new Wall-E Gamer?  MERRY CHRISTMAS!
