Sidney goes fishing

Water was looking nice so we loaded up the Red Sea boat and headed out for some action.  Morning bait was biting good.

Once the sun came up we headed out for the troll on the town.  Cat, Sidney and Brent joined me today.  This was Sidneys first time trolling so she was excited.

This is how we roll.  We focus and look for the bird piles.

Then the screamer.  Huge marlin on for an hour before shaking the hook.  

We got some action and a few fish for our table this week.

Morning North shore surf the afternoon HSDTV shoot out east.  This was the only place on the island that wasn't raining.

Swell Coming Soon!

Buoys still were small this morning so we knew swell would be later this evening.  Found a nice spot to surf and got a few fun waves.

Jon Taba wanted to eat so he treated us to brunch.

Garlic chicken plate.  Bugga was ono!

Swell should arrive this evening and peak at 2 am. Sat.  Going to be solid!

The Legend

Beautiful sunrise shot this morning on the eastside.  Surf dropped up north so stayed on the east to grab a few waves.

Legendary Jon Taba, Waimea bay hard core charger! Iron man competitor, solo night diver and big wave rider….Always good to paddle out with Jon.

Surf Quiver

Big Wednesday up north so we had to make sure we had our basis covered.  Tokoro boards ranging from 5'7 to 7'6 in the house.  Scored some fun ones with the boys at the bay.  Another bigger swell coming Friday!

Aloha Tuesday

Happy Aloha Tuesday everyone!  New NNW swell at 8 ft with northwest winds today.  A few spots are good if you know where to look!  Mahalo Wade and Reo for the session.  My board has the least stickers, Wades has most wax on the bottom and Reo has most sponsors.  Ha ha!
