Fever reducer?
Went to see a physical medicine doctor for a tingling feeling in my neck. Pinch nerve maybe from old age? Or pulled muscle? I don't feel the tingle when catching ahi.
He said to take six pills a day to relax any inflammation. I noticed it reduces fever, but don't think it work for my Ahi Fever!
Small Surf Day!
Picture perfect day in Hawaii with small inconsistent surf. Heard morning was even smaller. Wish I was fishing today!

Perseverance pays off!
What are the 3 P's to catching Ahi?
1. Preparation
2. Planning
3. Perseverance
My friends Mike Tripp, Brent Ching and James Oshiro joined me. All wanted to get the monkey off their back this season.
Brent took notes from James on how to spot the high flyers. Preparation involves having right lures and gear to catch Ahi. Tools are important elements to have to get the job done.
Then James started chanting his sacred ahi call, "here fishy fishy!" "Bite the hook!" Planning and knowing where to go and where fish are running.
Then we took the slamskees on the corner pole and put this baby to rest in 35 minutes. Perseverance and never giving up is key.
Gill and gutted the fish and took care of it with 300 pounds of ice and headed in early.
Mission accomplished and happy Red Sea crew. Thanks to our land crew for all their support.
We even were blessed with a nice 30 lb ono to top things off!
Missing fisherman
3 fisherman still out missing out near Kaena point.
Boat capsized and coast guard out searching yet.
Hope they are found soon. No fish is worth your life, be safe out there!
