Full moon surf

Did u see the full moon this morning? Huge! Probably can surf at night? West winds continue so headed eastside again. This winter has been awesome so far with many epic days in the books.  

Took out the 5'6 Tokoro x3 model in 3-4 ft perfect overhead surf with just 10 guys out. Good to see my eastside friends Timmy, Cade and Marteen out in the lineup.  I tried the slipper technique today along with Cade but when I came in it was no where to be found.  The 3 extra waves were worth it. 

Gene Higa 2014

Volcom Pipe champ 2015

Started the day grabbing some fun 3-5 ft waves at v-land. Good to see Ed, Rick, Wade in the line up.  Southwest winds veering west so pick your spots wisely.

Saw the final of the Volcom Pipe Pro as John John Florence took the 1st! Boosted big airs after the barrels. Congrats!

Kelly had placed 3rd but still ripping.

Super Bowl Sunday

Super bowl Sunday started off good! Family and friends got together at my parents house. 

Lots of good food!

Fresh sashimi and spicy tuna!

Ended the day on the beautiful Eastside with no crowds. Congrats to the Patriots for their big win. 

Go Dive Day!

My friend Travis Masutani wanted to go dive since weather was nice and he had a long work week.  We load up the kayaks and headed out a couple miles. We were so far out even charter fishing boats were tripping out on us two crazy divers.

This the scupper pro kayak which the best!  The water was clean and looked promising!  We chummed and flashed our lures and they came!

This Ono came in and Trav nailed it! His kayak took off, I jumped in my kayak and we chased it down. 

It was huge and clocked in at 47 lbs. lots of sashimi for Super Bowl Sunday! Mahalos Travis for an awesome day of diving and the Super Bowl slabs.
