XXL swell

XXL swell starting to rise today.  It will peak tomorrow on the North Shores of Oahu.  Dangerous surf will probably only allow a few spots to be rideable.  Be safe out there!

Family Dinner

Nice to have our ohana all together for dinner.  Our 103 year young uncle Jo still happy and healthy!   He loves fish so fish is what we went for.

Mentawai Blues

Another great trip in the books!  Great times with good friends is always fun!

We were blessed with good swell.

Mentawai Tatoo

Having a great group is key for a successful trip.  We were blessed to have such a great crew.

Great Doctor and Guide are important too!  Mahalo Spencer and Didit for all your support!

Donn Arizumi got us pupus!

Matt got his mentawai tattoos at Lances left also.  He got rolled over the reef after getting cleaned out.  Good thing his brother Jeff was there to tape him up.  

Going Off!

Swell picked up at Hts was on fire with nobody out!  We couldn't believe it and we waxed up and had a day to remember.

Epic waves!  Best waves all summer for sure!

Crowd control

Jeff, Matt, and Julio are jujitsu fighters so we got no problems in the line up.  Ha ha!  If the crowd is thick no problem, our boys got it covered.  

Warming up on a fun right hander.  This spot is called Roxy rights and it's a perfect wave.  Easy take off and a ripple wall with a barrel.

Surf travel

Finally back on the grid to post a few pics of our trip to Indo.  Our group of surfers from Hawaii and California made for a great time.

First stop in taiwan to break up the trip.

Then to Padang where we got all our bags.

Then on the boat for 12 hour ride.

Set up the board quiver and everyone was ready to surf!  Boards from 21 liters to 38 liters on the rack.
