Finding the spot!

Finding the best waves can be tricky but when we got the Eastside passay boys scouting we find the spot. North was still big but a few spots were rideable and good!

Got out the new board and grabbed a few fun ones today with just us out again and double overhead surf. Best winter yet!

Taba Spearguns

My friend Jon Taba told me in the water today come by for grab a speargun he started making. Surf was fun 2x overhead and just us out again! Score!

Skirted some Gaji lures for my friend in Japan. Looking forward to some fish pics from Japan.

Saturday Surf Session

Another perfect day in Hawaii. Surf overhead and rising! Kept heading north.

Met da boys and scored it to ourselves for little while. Overhead clean waves.

Go Fish Day!

Waves dropped so decided to look for this weeks dinner.  Keith Yamane joined me aboard the Red Sea boat. Not much birds at buoy so had to keep searching for the fish.  Saw some birds in a distance and dropped my gaji lures in and bam!

Hebi or spearfish in the boat. This fish is super Ono! Can't wait to eat it again.

Mountains look so nice and green.

Kept searching for grounds and got a nice Mahi in rubbish pile. 

Ended up with a nice spread of fish for our family and friends. 

But the best catch was this amazing glass ball. Last year we found one and this year we got one too. Thanks to the Red Sea crew for all their help with the clean up today.

Magical surf day!

Third session with my new Tokoro board and love it! Put on a thick leash so it would be able to handle the wash thrus. Double overhead thick slabs with just four of us out made it a magical day!

Gaji lures new fish head 7 inch or 9 inch lures being made. Making me want to go fish now!  March winds will be kicking in next week so go gettum!

Hazardous Surf!

Another big wave day! Non stop north swells by far the most ever!

Took out my big board and surfed some wild and wooly double overhead waves. Lots of big wash thru sets cleaning us up.

Luckily we all got in safe today. Cade and Wade always ripping! Hazardous conditions, but good training.

Big Surf Again!

Big waves again today! Beautiful sunrise! Got the report from my boys and headed up! Winds were switching so had a small window today.

Took out the gun again and grabbed a few fun ones on the slab.
