4th of July Surf Report

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July! South swell with no crowds if you could find a parking.  We got lucky! 

Mexican Shootout Video

Chicken of the Sea

This years shootout we seen quite a bit of roosterfish swimming around Cerralvo Island.  Heres a pic of my last roosterfish (aka: chicken of the sea) I shot in 10 feet of water.  They are very curious fish and give you one shot before they pass by.  Time to start packing and making our way home back to Hawaii to catch some more waves and Ahi!

Fun Dive Day

Today was a fun dive and our divers from Hawaii was determined to get big fish.

Check out the focus on Mike Uyeharas face. His rooster crow hair was drooping but it would change later.

Al was first to score this nice bumphead parrotfish. Al got lots of fish today maxing his 5-fish limit today.

I also got lucky with a roosterfish swimming in the shallows.

Mike got his big roosterfish! Mission accomplished. He was stoked and his hair reflected his excitement. Good job mike! Awesome day!

Awards Night

Day 2 of the competition started bright and early as divers loaded up their gear.

Mexican culture and quisine

After our dive we headed down to the restaurant where we were treated to the Mexican culture. Aussies having a blast.
