Shaping Surfboards 101
Today I took my nephews to the Tokoro factory. Learn about how surfboards are made from Hawaii's top shaper Wade Tokoro. They even got hands on experience.
Learned about the glassing process and resins.
Thanks Wade, Kerry and Gen for the tour!
Then they wanted to go to the pier.
Caught a few crabs for dinner? Good job guys. Learn how to live off the land and you will never go hungry.

Oi Rio Pro was On
Caught a few heats this morning with the girls surfing the Oi Rio Pro in challenging conditions.
The world surfing league is doing a great job making the tour more professional looking.
The guys always get the clean conditions!
Of course Gabriel Medina a local favorite!
Best part of a wave is in the barrel! Time to go surf? Still small background surf in town with breezy winds backing down a little to moderate speeds in the next few days.

Global Entry Pass
Had a wonderful "Mothers Day" celebration yesterday and so thankful for having the best mom in the world! Here she is relaxing after a hard day work in a remote onsen in Japan. If anyone has ever visited the Nakamoto Hotel and Restaurant they will vouch for the 5-star ratings they provide.
One of the hardest part of traveling is waiting in line, so I decided to apply for this Global entry pass that allows you to avoid those long lines in TSA and provide you benefits of precheck eligibility. It costs $100 to apply and after a quick interview you are set to go! For more information on this visit: http://www.cbp.gov/

Summer fun
Missing paddle boarder found 3 miles outside of ewa beach! He went out from Waikiki yesterday afternoon, lost his paddle and drifted overnight. Kind of reminded me of that tv show called the raft, where 2 people must survive for 5 days or so until they find land.
Surfed cleaned up a little and dropped a little with long waits but still rippable. Summer is here!
