Fiji Dive Trip Pau!

We got to see some amazing things on this Fiji trip!  I even got to hold two pet boa constricters snakes and the boys saw sea snakes in the water while diving.

HSD Diver Owen Adams Sr. showing us how it's done taking down this nice mu!

Coronations and blue trouts were no match for these boys.  We ended up steaming them in our secret sauce and they were so ono!

HSD Diver Keaka Ching also blasted this big Awa one day.  I seen him in the water with this fish splashing all over so I jumped in and took a few shots.

And another view of the "Beast"!  Good Job Jaga! Now its time to get ready for the HSD Fish and Dive Expo this weekend!  Come check our booth out this Sunday March 10 from 9-4 pm at the blaisdell.  See you all there!

Fiji Day Five - Big Dog

Well our final day and dogtooth alley still producing fish.  Jaga just watched our past Coral Sea DVD and was impressed with Keaka stoning a big dogtooth in a pack of sharks that he couldn't sleep.  He dreamed of landing one like it and was rearing to go.  Sharks have been acting up with our chuming but we managed to land the big one! As I was busy flashing, James outside chumming, Keaka went down for a dive and as he surfaced I saw this big doggie come under the flasher.  I hooted for someone to come and since Keaka just surfaced and out of breath, Jaga went down and rolled this fish over admist the hungry sharks.

The best part is that it was Jaga's personal best and I got it all on film! The fish are here and if you put in your bottom time and a little luck on your side this could be YOU!  Vinaka to our host Jaga, Heather, and Ratu from Freedive Fiji for a great time!

Fiji Foods

Fijian foods are like many polynesian places and if you live in a village you will eat lots of fish.  These Fijians love fish and remember Una our maid who loves to relax.  Everyday she asks us to bring her some fish.  Here she is hard at work lounging with the boys eating tomato potato chips.

Dinner we tried a spot called Baka blue.  A New Orleans type of menu and we ate chicken pasta, salad, mac and cheeze this night.

Lunch we tried a veggie pizza, chicken soup, and another chicken marsalla dish.  The soup was little spicy and James added some flavor to Owens dish as he sneezed while eating and unloaded it all over Owen.  You had to be there because it was classic.
Another dinner we ate at the Pearl hotel and they cook up your catch for FJ$15=USD$9.  We had steamed Uku, fish/chips with a mu, and raw mu poke in coconut milk.

Fiji Day four - Blue water dive

Day four we headed to a secret dogtooth spot and as expected we saw and landed some amidst the shark action.  Lots of opportunity for big game here and Jaga got lucky on this one. Owen also landed a nice rainbow runner and Keaka got a couple doggies.  As I write this under a coconut tree swarming with flies. Internet is super slow so gotta go dive now.
